Dr. Perry S. Ong, Biology Professor and College of Science Dean, passed away last March 02, 2019 due to sudden heart attack.
Dean Ong was one of the notable professors in the university especially in the field of Biology. Several of his awards: UP Scientist III, UP Professorial Chair Faculty Grant (1 July 2018 to 30 June 2019 Cycle), Concepcion Dadufalza Award for Distinguished Achievement (2016), Gawad Chanselor para sa Natatanging Guro (2009), Hugh Greenwood Environmental Science Award (2004), and Outstanding Young Scientist Award (2000).
Thank you for your valuable contributions to the university and to the nation as well. Your passion is truly an inspiration to all of us!
