The Office for the Advancement of Teaching (OAT-OVCAA) will be conducting the first run of the Teaching Effectiveness Course (TEC): Fundamentals of University Teaching on January 12, 13, 14, and 15, 2026. The venue will be announced later.

The TEC aims to support new and seasoned UPD faculty members, teaching assistants, and lecturers who wish to upgrade or strengthen their teaching competencies. This initiative is part of UP Diliman’s continuing commitment to nurturing a community of academics who uphold and advance the University’s tradition of excellence.

All TEC sessions will run from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The course is free of charge, but pre-registration is required due to limited slots. We can accommodate a maximum of 50 participants on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to individuals who express clear interest and commitment to completing the entire 4-day training. Once the 50 slots have been filled, additional registrants will be placed on a waitlist and will be notified if a slot becomes available.

Participants will be provided with lunch, snacks, and a course kit. A certificate will be awarded to those who complete the 4-day course and submit all required outputs. A performance report will also be forwarded to the head of the unit at the end of the program.

Faculty members who commit to completing the course may register through the following link: http://bit.ly/3LThRsZ on or before 15 December 2025 (Monday). The provisional program is attached for your reference.
