ODI Conducts Teaching Effectiveness Course on 4 – 8 January 2016

The Teaching Effectiveness Course (TEC) is a free, five-day intensive training course on effective teaching. Holistic and learner-focused, the series of lectures and workshops are led by passionate educators representing the best in university instruction.

This course on the essentials of effective teaching begins with an understanding of learners, prior knowledge, motivation, and learning styles. It offers principles and strategies on creating learning experiences that promote mastery, enhance creative and integrative thinking, and enrich understanding. Participants also learn from each other in dealing with specific challenges and concerns.

Workshops include instructional plan development, test construction, and public speaking, among other important skill areas. The TEC concludes with a teaching demonstration by participants.

The course is open to all full-time and part-time faculty members of UP Diliman. To pre-register for the course, please email ovcaa.odidiliman@up.edu.ph. Pre-registration is open until 31 December 2015.
